The Story: What Happened in Apartment 102?

A string of disappearances leads your team to a mysterious apartment. Its last occupant has vanished, leaving behind unsettling clues and a secret that was never meant to be discovered.

At first, you’re investigating a place that appears familiar. As you explore, that ordinary apartment gives way to something far more sinister. The evidence begins to connect, and your reason for being there becomes harder to ignore.

Your team has 60 minutes to piece together what happened and find a way out. Will you solve the mystery—or become the next disappearance?

We won’t reveal the room’s twists, hidden discoveries or puzzle solutions. The story is best experienced as it unfolds around you.

What Makes Red Room 102 Scary?

The premise places your team inside the mystery. You’re investigating someone else’s apartment, confronting disturbing clues and working against a deadline within the story.

The room’s published content advisory identifies three elements players should know about before booking:

• Disturbing imagery: visual details that support the dark horror theme.
• Simulated blood: staged effects within the fictional setting.
• Confined spaces: parts of the environment that may feel uncomfortable for players who dislike tight surroundings.

These elements make Red Room 102 a choice for adults who enjoy unsettling mysteries and horror-themed experiences. Consider the whole group’s comfort with the theme when choosing your room.

An Adults-Only Escape Room: Ages 18+

Every player in Red Room 102 must be 18 or older. Keep that restriction in mind when planning a birthday celebration, date night or group visit.

If someone in your group is unsure about the imagery or confined spaces, contact Boxroom before booking to discuss the experience. That gives everyone a chance to choose a room they will enjoy.

You can also explore our other adventures, including Escape with Mona Lisa and The Last Expedition, and review their room information.

Can You Keep Thinking When the Story Gets Dark?

In a scary escape room, atmosphere becomes part of the challenge. An unsettling discovery can pull your attention away from a detail you were studying, while the countdown adds urgency to every decision.

Your team still needs to observe, communicate and connect the evidence. Share what you find, listen to each other’s ideas and keep the whole group involved. One person’s observation may help another understand a clue that seemed impossible a moment earlier.

Red Room 102 is listed for 2–10 players. Whether you arrive as a couple or a group of friends, the mission gives you a shared mystery to investigate under pressure.
