I checked out the Boxroom Escape Games on the advice of other friends that have played here in the past and had a good experience. I booked over the phone and JENNIFER was very helpful and was able to cater to the needs of my group by providing me a custom timeslot as well as some great information about the rooms that were available. When I arrived, ASHLEY was the absolute best and took care of my small group. She also served as my game master for the Pirate adventure which was a very fun experience. All in all, I had a great time and will go back and try their other rooms in the near future.

We had a team building event with our employees and one of our business partners that brought in 3 persons to interact with our team. The event was amazing! We all had such a great time going through the escape rooms - we used all three of them - as we worked together solving each one of the mysteries. My particular team was the fastest solving the "Operation Saving Hollywood" escape room, that is the hardest and then we went for the Pirate Room. The experience was one of a kind and I highly recommend for everyone! My son is turning 13 soon and I am definitely celebrating his birthday at BoxRoom Escape Games!

We took two families with 5 kids and 5 adults. It was a blast. We did two rooms. The puzzles were interesting and fun for all the kids. The wizard and save Hollywood rooms were not scary and kid appropriate. The staff were polite and helpful. The area also has plenty of eating locations so you can make an afternoon of it.

My daughter surprised me with an escape room experience as a Christmas gift. We are avid escape-room players, and the Haunted Pirate Shipwreck did not disappoint. It was challenging enough to keep us active throughout the sixty minutes, but not so ridiculously difficult that we lost interest. The technology was flawless, and the dark room was a perfect setting. The only suggestion that I would make would be to have a timer in the room so that participants can time themselves as they complete tasks. (Although the game master did tell us when the first fifteen minutes had passed and when we had a certain amount of time remaining.) We will definitely return to escape from the other two rooms!

The escape room at Boxroom was one of the best experiences I've had yet. It's located on Hollywood Blvd. I went with a group of 5 and we can all agree that we had a great time. In the waiting area, they also had games you could play with while they set up your room as well as a VR machine. This location has three rooms to choose from: Merlin's Wizarding Academy, Haunted Pirate Shipwreck, and Operation Saving Hollywood. We ended up picking the Hollywood one, which was listed as the one with the most difficulty. The staff was very clear on instructions and we ended up finishing with 10 minutes left on the clock. If you are ever in the area with a group, I highly recommend checking this place out, it's a fun and unique experience. Check online for pricing specials and you can book online to make it easy for you.

I did two escape rooms here with my brother and sister-in-law when visiting family in the area. We had so much fun! The puzzles and clues were very clever, and I loved the luxury of having a private party. (The places near us always fill bookings with strangers.) I would definitely recommend this place to others.

My wife Nathalie surprised me with a session at Boxroom Escape Games for my first Father's Day, and it was amazingly awesome! Destiny and her fellow associates were very welcoming and provided a fun experience. Once in the room, it can feel like a slow start, but once you crack the first riddle, your heart races in excitement to solve all of them to get to the end. We enjoyed our first room so much, that we decided to do a second room on the spot. It's a unique experience that you will enjoy fully. My wife Nathalie and I highly recommend it!

Went there as a group of 6 family members and friends... such a great time! The room provided many challenges and puzzles, and, working as a team, we escaped!--Alexis was our gamemaster, and she did a fantastic job of laying out the context of the adventure and communicating with us while in the room... she also allowed us to try the VR machine before leaving the venue. All-in-all, just a great experience--give them a try, you won't be sorry. :)

It was so much fun! Great for groups because you have to work together to solve the problem. Different theme rooms, help with clues if you get stuck and a picture of your group which was nice.. Loved it!! We're planning our next visit already. Okay for kids but at least 8 and up and if they don't scare easily.. The room is timed and everyone is running around crazy looking for clues.. that can overwhelm the younger ones.. Had a blast!!! Great idea for a tween or teen party they think they're so smart 😏

This is one of the best escape rooms I have ever done! It was tough! Loves the theme and the scene. The decor is awesome!!!

We took the kids for a chance for them to enjoy. They were so kind and helpful. We were the only ones in that room and the kids enjoyed it. It was hard enough to present a challenge yet not too hard for the kids. We beat the room with ten minutes to spare. Super clean. Super friendly. I def recommend for kids

We've done about 10 escape rooms across the country, and the Haunted Pirate Shipwreck was one of the best we've ever done. Really clever and varied puzzles, great special effects, multiple rooms – everything was likable and well done.

We did the Merlin room with two kids and two adults. It was so much fun and we escaped with 3 minutes to spare. We did need a few hints along the way. Justin was so nice and very helpful. All the girls at the axe throwing place were so sweet also. Great customer service. If you use the code “NEWPLAYER” on their online checkout you can save $5. It’s worth the money. This would make a great date night also. There is an axe throwing place next door owned by the same owner and they discount that if you’ve done boxroom. This is located on Hollywood Blvd. There is lots of parking all down the street. There is also a chocolate bakery on the opposite side of the street down a bit. It’s owned by Romanians so everything is made like a European bakery. This makes for a fun day out.

I've done quite a few escape rooms at different locations in Miami and Houston and this is one of my favorites! My friends and I started with the easiest room (Merlin) and got out with plenty of time to spare so it's probably best for people new to escape games! Can't wait to come back and try the other two rooms :)

Our family was in town for vacation and thought this would be fun. None of us had ever tried an escape room before but we had a great time! We did the haunted shipwreck. We also tried out the VR games in the lobby.

I took 3 friends that are 15. It was their first escape room. They loved it and said it was sooooo much fun. The place was clean, very well decorated and the staff was great! They can’t wait to go back and try another room.

Amazing place and staff. Owners are wonderful and attentive and actually talk to you whereas some businesses only care about your wallet and what spend.... Unbeatable prices and even have a virtual reality machine. HIGGGHLY RECOMMEND!!! I have even went to escape rooms in vegas and the prices here and customer service and rooms and fun... UNBEATABLE!!!! The workers who are not part of the family even love their jobs... Such a wonderful atmosphere....Had so much fun.

Super fun experience! Came here with my family, including one in a wheelchair, and had a blast. The lady there (probably owner) was very nice and enthusiastic from the moment we walked in the door. You even get a picture taken with props and whatnot! I accidentally broke one of the props and though she seemed really concerned, she was still very nice about it. I would come back again and do a harder room if I lived near here!

Boxroom is a great place if you are looking for a fun way to spend some time with friends or family. The games are all thought out well and the staff is so friendly. They do not tell you how to solve the puzzles but keep everyone engaged and working together. I would highly recommend this from everything to date night to birthday parties to corporate team building. And it's fun for all ages. Get out there and challenge your mind!!

I loved it! We did Merlin's escape room and it was really fun. The puzzles are really interesting and it was all around a nice experience. The girl running the front desk was really nice! We got there early and still found things to do to pass the time! Make sure you dress up to get your picture taken! If you like escape rooms I recommend this one. The room was very well themed, the puzzles were pretty intuitive, there's a few pieces that are ment to throw you off so you gotta watch out for that! Our room could be completed with 2 people, we did it with 3.

Love escape rooms. Always fun. People were nice. Helpful. Game was great. Place is clean. They have lockers for your valuables. Parking is a little tricky because you need to know the area or how to use the pay parking meters. But not insurmountable. It's doable, drive around a little find yourself a spot. Staff is patient and pleasant. Check in is easy.

The staff members were so wonderful putting my friend’s daughter’s mind at ease, because she was afraid it would be like a haunted house with things that try to scare you. It was truly a wonderful experience and it was the highlight of our weekend of fun touristy activities-and we did a lot!!! Tip! They have rooms of various degrees of being a challenge. It’s best to make a reservation in advance and get the room of your choice. It’s really fun! We can’t wait to go again!

Other escape rooms don't reward you when you finish. When you beat one of these rooms, you get a little surprise. I recommend this escape room then any other out there. It's just FUN FUN FUN!

My family had a little mini family reunion in Florida and one of the things on our list was this place and we had sooo much fun! The rooms were incredible as far as design is concerned and the puzzles were amazing. Everything seemed as though it worked by magic! We chose the Haunted Pirate Shipwreck and man oh man it was fun! We had to work together to find the gold and everyone is taking credit! Please! I found that gold! Ha! I can't thank Boxroom enough for giving me and my family great memories to talk about for some time to come!

So i had never done an escape room before. My friend wanted to do one and asked me to go with her, so we got a group together and went to boxroom. We got there a little early and had to wait for 1 more of our party to show up to start. Our game master was Alexis, and she answered all the questions we had while we waited for our +1. While you wait for the room to be available or for your group to get there, they have a variety of games and puzzles and even a VR machine to play in the lobby. Boxroom has 3 rooms. Merlins secret chamber, a haunted pirate ship, and one where you have to save Hollywood from a terrorist attack as a secret agent. One of the cool things about boxroom is their rooms are very technology heavy, and not reliant on padlocks like most escape rooms. As I said above, Alexis was our game master, and she was delightful and made sure we had a great time. We started with the merlin room, and it was really fun. We finished it in abput 33 minutes. We had so much fun in fact that we decided to do a second room after, and did the save Hollywood room. The save Hollywood room is the hardest room they have and we finished with about 8 minutes to spare. If you find yourself in Hollywood and have an hour to kill, deff check this spot out!

We have done both Merlin's Wizarding Academy and Operation Saving Hollywood escape rooms with my wife and 2 kids (son is 8 and my daughter is 10) and we ALL had a blast. So much fun, creative and the staff at Box Room were very helpful and courteous. We made a day of it and did the escape room and after we finished there are so many restaurants and shops on the same street we hung out in downtown Hollywood the rest of the day. Can't wait to go again and try the Pirate themed escape room.

I look for rooms wehre the decor, themes and puzzles line up with each other, and the level of detail.If tehre are hidden rooms I shld not see hinges on doors, for example, or wires - Boxroom met those expectations. Where they fall short is the amount of puzzles and the linear feel of the rooms. A then B then C.We got out early in the 2 rooms we did. They added some very nice touches for the end game that I won't go into, that I had not seen before in any room and made the experience more memorable....but the endgame was a bit of a let down in terms of escapes from both room - it was like "that's it? we are done?"

We took our brother for his 30th birthday and he had just gotten over the flu. He didn't want to do anything, so we had to surprise him. But the boxroom was so refreshing and a different experience for us, that he couldn't stop thanking us for taking him. It's one of those places that really takes you back to your childhood days. We're looking forward to coming again!

Boxroom is a great place if you are looking for a fun way to spend some time with friends or family. The games are all thought out well and the staff is so friendly. They do not tell you how to solve the puzzles but keep everyone engaged and working together. I would highly recommend this from everything to date night to birthday parties to corporate team building. And it's fun for all ages. Get out there and challenge your mind!!

We went to boxroom escape as a family of 6. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by two young ladies who were very pleasant and helpful. Everything about the game was explained to us completely before we entered our room. We had so much fun, we all worked together to figure out the clues and were very satisfied and excited when we solve the puzzle with 10 minutes to spare. I highly recommend the BOXROOM escape games to everyone. It was fun for the whole family. We will be back!

My family of 4 consist of two adults and two kids ages 12 and 10. We visited for father’s day and we played the missing treasure chest room. It was fun. We needed 2 clues but we made in out right at an hour mark. The staff was nice and the rooms and facilities were clean. The price was just a little higher than what I seen at other spots. But you get the room to yourself with 4 people where other places make you have 8 people or they group you with strangers. So it was worth the extra money. Like $20 more. Lastly they gave us free photos to take home. Who doesn’t love free photos :-)

THIS IS SO MUCH FUN! If you have not done an escape room, which I had never done, it's a blast. I did the Pirate room and got locked in a "ship" for 60 minutes with friends searching for treasure. Amazing immersion makes you feel like you are in another world, challenging puzzles to solve, and you HAVE to work together! Truly an experience like no other.

We had my daughter’s 7th Birthday party at Boxroom Escape Games last year. 13 kids and 10 parents. Unlike all other kids parties boring for parents this one was a real family fun when we did Merlin’s, Pirate’s and Spy’s escape rooms together with children. Boxroom also brought a birthday cake, hid a card at an escape room, and after doing rooms and eating cake kids hung out at the lobby riding a virtual reality attraction and playing board games for a couple more hours. Highly recommend for any private party or event, or children’s party 7 and up!

Well, let’s just say, thank god for Alexis and Ashley (both staff) that made it possible to enjoy the entire experience. They gave us hints when we were stuck— that really made it that much more great! We completed the Pirate room and it was So much fun! It was tricky but overall so so so much fun! The staff was super friendly and we even revived printed photograph of the experience ! I would recommend everyone to try it out (esp adults) and we are going back to try the other rooms!

The best entertainment experience I have ever had! If you have not done an escape room, which I had never done, it's a blast. We visited Boxroom on a weekend. I got locked in an uniquely designed spy's escape room for an hour with my loved one and friends trying to save Hollywood. We were immersed in another world. The room was hard, the puzzles and riddles were challenging to solve, and you must work together but we had a lot of fun! Truly an entertainment like no other.

We've done a bunch of escape rooms and these are unique. They have very few locks to open, such as those opened with keys and combinations. The environments are very well decorated. Nick was the supervisor and he was really helpful.

We did the pirate room. Some really clever puzzles in here and the atmosphere was a great fit with the ghostly theme. Some of the mechanics on locks were a little clunky and we expended more energy than we should have opening locks where we already solved the puzzle. Not a dealbreaker by any stretch, particularly since we experienced this room during the soft opening period. Definitely recommend for both new and inexperienced!

I initially signed up for Boxroom Escape Games after reading Yelp. Boxroom has a room called Merlin's Wizarding Academy. I did this with my nine-year old and my eight-year old kids. They were very proactive and the room is easy enough for the kids to actively help you solve the puzzles. We escaped with about 10-11 minutes left! Out hostess was extremely friendly and very accommodating. She made my kids feel very comfortable too. The setup of the place is very cool! I highly recommend Boxroom Escape Games to anyone with kids that are wanting to do escape rooms!

The Pirate room was very good. The guy in charge of running the room was extreamly attentive and helpful. I did this room with four people and although only two of them actually worked, we still got out under the time limit. Another good part of this experience was the room itself wasn't too scary. I am a major chicken and survived with only minor frights. A big thing to note about this room is it all takes place in the dark with the use of flashlights, and involves being able to read codes and maps in small print so it may not be a good idea for those with visual problems.One amazing thing about the Boxroom itself was the waiting room you sat in before entering the game room. They had stacks of cards, board games, free water, and coffee for pay. They do have a bathroom on site as well which has a changing table and so may be useful for family outings.

My group has done about 40+ escape rooms so far and we were pretty impressed with both of these rooms. We did both of the rooms they currently have available (Merlin's Wizarding Academy and Haunted Pirate Shipwreck). The themes are very well carried out throughout both rooms and both rooms were exciting and challenging. Mostly magnetic locks which was really fun. The way you "escape" is very unique and something we've never seen before (and we LOVED it). We will definitely be back in a few weeks when the next room opens up.

We recently tried our hand at escaping the Haunted Pirate Shipwreck, and not only did we escape, we had a great time doing so! Very nice mix of clues, and everyone was able to contribute. Plus, solving the final clue was a nice twist! Only minor quibble is that there wasn’t a timer in the room, so we could only guess how much time we had remaining. Maybe we didn’t see it, but that’s usually very prominent. Other than that, this was a great room and we’d definitely come back to try their other rooms.

Tons of fun for the family. They have amazing rooms and puzzles that are very difficut. You need to really think to solve them. They give you an hour to solve it by yourself and will sometimes give you extra time with clues when you go over the time limit. Extremely fun, supmersive and realistic.

If you enjoy problem solving and riddles, this place is a fun way to spend an hour. The staff is super friendly and they were efficient in getting our game started at our scheduled time even though they were busy. Definitely make a reservation, they do a brisk business and may or may not have any availability for a walk in. And if you get stuck during the game, don't ask for a hint, those are for losers.

My girlfriend and I went here for my birthday (we're in our late 20's). The staff was very welcoming and courteous. The prices vary depending on time and day you go. Overall, the price we paid wasn't bad. The escape room we were in was challenging, but doable. The escape room is also great for couples especially because it tests communication skills and is a great relationship builder being that both people have to work together.

Very fun experience! Only two problems I had was that it was only two rooms and I expected it to be more. My family and I would've loved to go into another room. Also, we did the wizard one which was fun however the wizard's voice was too low. When we went into the second room the main speaker was in the first room and it was very hard to hear. Other than that great experience! & they've only been open from for two weeks so I will give them 5 stars hopefully they will take these two concerns into consideration.

Lsst night we went to the Boxroom escape for my wife's birthday and played the save Hollywood game. We had a great experience due to a very high tech challenge which was logic intensive, versus some less sophisticated challenges where you undo locks and move things around which are not nearly as interesting. NIck was our staff member and he did a great job taking care of us. The location is really nice and I would come back to try the other challenges.

My bf and I decided to try our first escape room several months ago. We got hooked! Before we knew it we were spending more on escape rooms per month than the cost of our rent! Traveling to other cities to do them, searching for them to add to vacation itineraries and booking them so that when we walked out of one, we walked into another. We loved them all but the bar was set much higher when we did Boxroom. We booked the Haunted Pirate Shipwreck and the Wizard rooms back to back and we were blown away by both. The rooms were so cool, decorated awesome and we loved how interactive they were...not just combination locks. Highly recommend Boxroom! After doing about 32 rooms in the last couple months, Boxroom is now at the very top of our favorite list!

This was the very first times my friends and I did an escape room and it was absolutely AMAZING! The story behind the room made you feel like you were really stepping into a creeky abandoned shipwreck and the puzzles were not too hard, but hard enough. We made it out with just about 20 seconds to spare. I would score this place 10 out of 10 and will definitely be going back to try the other rooms.

Booked for early morning on a whim in the medium difficulty room (Pirate treasure themed) since bookings were half price before noon. Three of us went as a group but you can have up to six players per room, it was about $20.00 a person with the half priced deal. You pay per person instead of per room at this establishment. All of us were first timers going in but two of us had a lot of knowledge concerning escape type games. For all rooms, Boxroom will take photos of you decked out in props and give you the storyline for your room to get you in the mood. You have the option of playing in the dark with flashlights or in dim lighting; you can change to dim if you find you don't like the dark as much as you thought. You are given a walkie talkie to use if you are the type that needs or wants hints but once you are in the room you cannot leave; you either solve the room and win, leave and forfeit, or your hour timer ends and you lose. Winning will get you a fun keepsake. Obviously, there is no video, photography etc. allowed in the rooms as the nature of the rooms on film would spoil the fun for future escapees. They do have monitoring in the rooms to keep track of where you are in the game if you want help and to enforce these rules (so don't be a jerk). We liked it so much after completing the mid tier room that we booked the hardest room, with Game Master Jen again of course, the next day!

We tried the VR ride after our escape room. Having never done vr before I was a bit nervous but it was so much fun! The staff were very nice and helped me choose an adventure as a beginner. The free flight was incredible! Me and my boyfriend will definitely be back to try other games!

We actually ran over time and she allowed us to stay in until we were able to complete it. This was our second adventure in 2 days, and all I can say is, "woohoo!" We beat Merlin's Academy yesterday with 19 minutes left and the Haunted Pirate Ship today with 26 minutes left. We're going back tomorrow for the trifecta!!! EDIT: We came, we saw, we kicked its butt! Boxroom Escape Games are amazing! We finished Operation Saving Hollywood with 29 minutes left!! Excellent place, the tasks are challenging but they really make you think outside of the box. For first timers, I recommend the Merlin's room! It is really a must do in Hollywood and we, hollywood residents are beyond grateful that they chose that place in Downtown. The girl at the front desk is super attentive and she (even though was sick the day we went, and we went super late) gave us an unforgettable experience. We cannot wait to go again and do the pirates!

Knowing how great of a family activity escape rooms are, I took my wife and kids to play the rooms at boxroom. We have played many rooms in the area and Boxroom Escape Games is one of the best escape rooms in South Florida we have come across. We have never seen such immersive environments! The kids had a blast and my wife and I were just as entertained as they were! Definitely worth the drive from Boca! I took my friends who had never done an escape room to Boxroom. As an avid player even I was impressed! The immersion levels here are like nothing I have seen before....AND THE PUZZLES! It's not all locks and combinations like you see at most other rooms. The interactivity here is AMAZING. All-in-all we were all blown away. The tech used to automate the puzzles really added a neat bit of polish to the room. I can't wait to go back and try another puzzle room!

I took my boyfriend for his birthday last night. We did the "Haunted Pirate Ship" escape room. This was our first escape room experience. He really enjoyed the room even though we didn't make it out in less than 60 minutes. He was reluctant to ask for hints or clues earlier so we wasted too much time. The clues were super helpful and made the experience a lot more fun. We will return again in the future. It was fun, engaging, and very clever. What I liked the most about this place is that the technology they use is so advanced. They have a V.R. (virtual reality) ride that is free to anyone who purchased a time slot for an escape room. Snacks were free and the best way to my heart is through my stomach. They surprised me yet again when I walked into the escape room. The room I went to was based on the story of King Arthur, Merlin and the knights of the round table. I wanted this room specifically in hopes of using a wand. SPOILER ALERT!!! (THERE WAS A WAND!). Unlike most escape rooms, there were no combonation locks. Everything is automated and it made the experience so much better. The only down fall I could come up with is that the room is fairly easy to get out of. This room is more suited for children accompanied by parents. All in all, I had a good time. Will come again😊
